About Us
The DevAnna C.I.C was founded with a deeply personal purpose: to design and build a dementia-specialist nursing home where compassion, dignity, innovation and genuine understanding shape every part of the environment.
Our name brings together Devika and Anna who are the two women who are inspiring this journey. Devika, the mother of Director Caroline Ignatius, and Anna, the wife of Director Paolo Tizzano, are both currently living with dementia in full time care. Caroline’s father, Ernie, also continues his own dementia journey. Together, they reflect the thousands of families navigating the emotional and practical challenges of dementia every day.
Through years of first-hand experience, we have witnessed the limitations of traditional care homes and their environments often not designed specifically for the unique and evolving needs of people with dementia. DevAnna C.I.C is committed to building something truly different. A home that prioritises comfort, safety, connection, wellbeing, and personalised, specialist care.
Our mission is simple but powerful: To create a home where people living with dementia are not only cared for, but genuinely understood, respected, and supported to live with dignity and purpose.
Our Concept
We are developing a unique model that we believe can transform the future of dementia care. Our aim is to support:
People living with dementia who require specialist care
Families seeking reassurance, transparency and trust
Carers who are passionate about delivering exceptional-quality support
We want to become a place where families feel confident and no longer fearful of exploring full-time care. Our strategy is ambitious, innovative and designed to improve the lives of residents, families and professionals alike.

Key Principles

Person-Centred Care
We will “live in our residents’ world”, ensuring their individual needs, experiences, emotions and preferences guide all aspects of support.
A Unique Profitability Strategy
Through thoughtfully designed onsite facilities open to both residents and the public (restaurant, laundry, beauty salon, barbers, therapy pool, hospital, pharmacy, serviced accommodation, dementia day services & dementia training) we aim to generate additional income to help reduce care fees.
Transparent Care Costs
We plan to publish our cost structures to give families complete clarity around fees and what they include.
Cameras in Communal Areas
To better protect residents and staff, and to provide families with a secure online viewing portal.
Appropriate Shifts & Remuneration
We aim to attract high-quality carers by offering fair pay, sensible shift patterns and a supportive working environment.
Dementia Signposting Hub
We plan to become a trusted source of information, guidance and support for people affected by dementia across the community.
Volunteers
Our volunteers will provide companionship, stimulation and joy to our residents whilst enabling our carers to provide the specialist dementia care required.
